Padron Natural

Padron NaturalPadron Natural – 7.5x50 / Nicaragua / Medium

Everyone talks about Cubans or Dominicans being the best of cigars. However, Oliva, Pardon, and H Upmann are great Nicaraguan cigars, and they are just as good as Cubans or Dominicans. Padron cigar is a high demand cigar and for good reason. I try to smoke at least one very month, and with that, I have noticed that the draw can be a little tight. The cigar gives a good aroma with some popping flavors. This is still a must try!

Oliva Serie O Cameroon

Oliva Serie O CameroonOliva Serie O Cameroon – 6.5x52 / Nicaragua / Medium

The Serie O is my favorite cigar Oliva makes. This sun grown cigar is a nice, creamy smoke with a hint of cedar and woody taste. The smoke is great and has an even burn and smooth draw. There’s not much you can say bad about this stick. Cigar Aficionado rated it a 92, and I agree.

Cabaiguan

Cabaiguan
Cabaiguan – 5.5x52 / Nicaragua / Mild to Medium

When I first bought this cigar, I thought I was buying the new, hot, cigar. Everyone at the local cigar shop was saying, “You have to try it.” After trying it, I realized that it really is a great cigar! This is a mild to medium smoke. It is creamy and flavorful with an excellent burn and draw. This cigar is close to cracking my Top Ten list.

Sancho Panza Belicoso

Sancho Panza Belicoso Sancho Panza Belicoso – 5.5x5 / Cuba / Medium to Full

This is a good cigar. It was very smooth and burned well. The draw was good and different flavors were present. It really was a good cigar overall, but it was nothing like the Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill or the Ramon Allones. It is definitely worth a try.

Macanudo Gold Label

Macanudo Gold Label Macanudo Gold Label – 6x52 / Dominican Republic / Mild

I don’t smoke many of their cigars, but they are all pretty impressive. The Gold Label is my favorite cigar in their line-up. This is a nice easy smoke. It’s very mild with some good flavors. The cigar is a nice oily stick that burns and draws great. The nice thing about this cigar is it can be smoked at anytime of the day, and it goes well with any kind of drink.

Hoyo De Monterrey Excalibur No.3

Hoyo De Monterrey Excalibur No.3Hoyo De Monterrey Excalibur No.3 – 6.1x48 / Hundoras / Full

This cigar wasn’t bad, but I don’t think it was very good either. I know some people love this cigar, but I guess I really didn’t. The burn was uneven, and the draw was too tight. It really missed on flavors.

Gurkha Evil

Gurkha EvilGurkha Evil – 6x53 / Nicaragua / Medium to Full

Omar, at my local cigar shop, told me that he just got a new Gurkha in and that I had to try it. He was right--this is a good cigar. I smoked it after a nice steak dinner with some scotch. It was a nice spicy/peppery cigar with a strong finish. The burn was smooth and had a fair draw.

CAO’s Italia is one of the great cigars and a cigar that I can enjoy at anytime. This cigar presents you with an excellent aroma before you light it, and it only gets better. It has an even burn and a good draw with a lot of spices. This cigar is not for beginners.
